Hidden Supply Chain Risk and Incoterms®: Analysis and Mitigation Strategies

چکیده
Among the many sources of financial and operational risk in supply chains are Incoterms®, which terms trade used to decide who does what a cargo movement, when passes from seller buyer pays for part movement. Wrong Incoterms® create unexpected costs or risks, at best, inoperable contracts worst, with all challenges implied. This paper analyzes chain management (SCM) through lens responsibilities imposed by Incoterms®. The authors also conducted survey 100 decision makers on creation knowledge population. Failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) reveals scenarios that pose financial, operational, even legal firms. Results suggest rules poorly understood practitioners general, often chosen personnel not aware implications their choices, therefore frequently incorrectly non-strategically, thereby increasing cost risk. discusses results performance as well mitigation strategies strategically using remove cost, risk, delay transactions.

Risk Mitigation in Supply Chain
Firms face significant risk when they adopt digital supply chain systems to transact and coordinate with their partners. Drawn upon modular systems theory, this study proposes that system modularity mitigates the risk of adopting digital supply chain systems and therefore motivates firms to digitize more of their supply chain operations. The study theorizes how the risk-mitigating effect of sys...

The need for Supply Chain efficiency, agility and innovation has never been greater. When the current economic pressures and the ever growing global network of suppliers are taken into account, supplier visibility and risk mitigation are quickly added to the ongoing needs of improved efficiency, agility and innovation. Supply chains are also sources of competitive advantage, so more tools are n...
متن کاملAn Integrated Fuzzy Approach for the Evaluation of Supply Chain Risk Mitigation Strategies
Competing in an increasingly uncertain business environment, organizations need to mitigate its supply chain risks to enhance their resiliency. However, it is important to implement appropriate strategies to meet business needs. This paper presents a novel approach that integrates fuzzy risk assessment and fuzzy Delphi for the evaluation of strategies in order to mitigate supply chain risks. Th...
متن کاملGreen Supply Chain Risk Network Management and Performance Analysis: Bayesian Belief Network Modeling
With the increase in environmental awareness, competitions and government policies, implementation of green supply chain management activities to sustain production and conserve resources is becoming more necessary for different organizations. However, it is difficult to successfully implement green supply chain (GSC) activities because of the risks involved. These risks alongside their resourc...
متن کاملMeta-Analysis of Methane Mitigation Strategies: Improved Predictions of Mitigation Potentials and Production Implications
The aim of this study was to use meta-analysis to identify the enteric methane (CH4) mitigation strategy that reduced CH4 emission without lowering production. To this end, a database initially developed was updated, compiling data from 61 publications (233 experiments) for various observations in dairy cattle on effects of hydrogen sink (H-sink), ionophore, lipid and conc...
